Yesterday was one of those days where it felt like my toes hardly touched the ground. ⠀
Opportunity fell from the sky. It was all golden sun and gorgeous flowers and unexpected kindness and princess parking and no line at Costco. ⠀
Best of all, I saw a bird I’ve never seen before: a Golden Crowned Kinglet hopping around my backyard. It’s a tiny little bird that would blend in with fallen leaves entirely if not for a flash of orange, like a mohawk, on the top of its head. And there it was, hopping around my backyard looking for bugs. It was probably on its way north for the summer. I might never see one again. Birds are just like that. ⠀

I know that not all days will be like yesterday. Today hasn’t been quite like that, and that’s okay. The winds will blow, sometimes propelling you forward, sometimes not, and that’s just fine. We’ve got feet to walk forward with, eyes to see the way with, and a nose to smell the flowers with. And speaking of flowers, I couldn’t be more in love with this picture and I needed to share.

Post-yoga lunch featuring salmon, red kale, rice, green onion, and red cabbage tossed with a turmeric ginger dressing. I’ve been trying to increase my omega 3 intake to decrease inflammation, so salmon has become a weekly staple.
My favorite way to cook it is broiled with lots of salt, pepper, and dill. I use the leftovers for salad bowls like this!
Also, you guys, learn from my mistakes. Don’t wash your black leggings with white towels. #lintfordays

Opening day activated 🐯

Salad + sunshine makes me the happiest! This beautiful bowl has about 5 cups of veggies in it. To all my clients—that’s 1/2 of the daily intake I recommend. In one meal!⠀
It’s kind of a what’s-in-my-fridge salad packed with romaine, spinach, sprouts, tomatoes, red onion, garbanzo beans, cucumbers, kalamata olives and just a bit of feta, because I 💖 feta. I topped it with salt and pepper and a splash of avocado green goddess dressing. 10/10 would eat again. Probably tomorrow.⠀

Get this: one of the top causes of inflammation is poor sleep 💤 Getting 7-9 hours of shut-eye each night doesn't just make you a nicer person, it actually makes you healthier too! If you have trouble hitting the hay, try a screentime curfew a few hours before you want to be sleeping. You can also try buying a new, super soft duvet set {as seen in the picture}. That's been working for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️
